Indications: Dental open bite with causative factors removed, unable to have predictable spontaneous eruption, ectopic incisor
Contraindications: Causative factor(s) still active (e.g. thumb sucking, supernumerary), skeletal open bite, excessive incisor display or vertical maxillary excess
