Suitable for ages: 16+ years old
Indications: Severe anterior open bite, severe over-eruption of posterior teeth, ideal or increased incisal display, vertical maxillary excess, dental Class II occlusion, down and backward rotated mandible, skeletal open bite/hyperdivergent, convex facial profile
Contraindications: Hypodivergent skeletal type, deep bites, acquired orthodontic or surgical risks

Treatment Objectives and Biomechanics

  • Intrude posterior maxilla base
  • Autorotation of the mandible forward and upwards
  • Reduce anterior open bite
  • Reduce or maintain upper incisor display
